A walk of approx. 5 miles over open moorland past the summit of Flinty Fell
From Ashgill Bridge walk 500m to Mid Ashgill and take the lane signposted Nenthead. Follow this past Little Gill Cottage and Priorsdale. Do not take the footpath at the fence boundary but continue on to the junction of two tracks. Here turn left and follow the track as it climbs in the direction of Flinty Quarry. From here follow the path through several fields back to the road just above Ashgill Bridge.
